Los Angeles Walks will include this Rio Vistas Micro Grant Activation as part of its current walk series. They will design and build a temporary ramp or will improve the surface connecting the sidewalk to the river path at Newell or another street end. At the event, they will hold a short discussion in Elysian Valley, followed by a walk north along the river, to Rattlesnake park and back, noting issues of accessibility along the way. They will work with Wheels to Water, the Department of Disability, Metro Accessibility Advisory Committee, and CALIF to recruit participants with physical disabilities to join in the event.
