The Los Angeles River is essential to the wellbeing of our region. We have the unique opportunity to make our dream for a healthy, vibrant and resilient river a reality for everyone.
We do visionary projects.
Our projects foster job creation, economic development, improved public health, and community revitalization. Our policies advocate for alternative transportation, enhanced public amenities, and recreational green space. Our programs raise awareness of our river as signature public resource.
We are breaking ground on Rio Vistas Parks that will transform derelict street-ends into enhanced community access points along the LA River.
We are joining with partners to create an coherent LA River Greenway that connects all 51-miles of the river with a path from the headwaters in Canoga Park to Long Beach.
We are hosting a series of family-friendly Resilience Bike Rides to raise public awareness on key issues such as how to promote environmentally responsible behavior to improve water quality in the river.
We are working on building the first philanthropically funded bridge in LA--the landmark La Kretz Crossing to connect East and West at North Atwater Park.
As a nonprofit, we create community and economic benefit for all. As a social enterprise, we have the know-how to translate good works into good business. We act as a hub to bring together public, private and philanthropic partners to make LA River projects happen.
