The 2017 Urban Garden Party

In just a few weeks, we’ll host our 7th Annual Urban Garden Party fundraiser. Just as our work, this event has progressed over the last seven years, from a small festival to our most important annual fundraiser. This year, we look to celebrate the wholeness of the LA River with our event theme River Beautiful + River Real. (Our take on the City Beautiful movement!)

We’re pretty excited and do hope you decide to join us. This fundraiser is our main event to build energy and resources for the work we do. Today, we want to share highlights of the event. If you’re ready to join us, RSVP here.

Wet Your Whistle with River-Inspired Libations (and Grub!)

We are delighted to share this year’s Urban Garden Party will feature Chef Bret Thompson, Chef Fred Eric, Coolhaus, Arts District Brewing, Mas Malo, Prufrock, and more! All food and cocktails will be created with the river in mind. Come hungry, as these talented folks are sure to create delicious treats.

Hang Out with Us River People

The best part about the Urban Garden Party (if we have to pick!) is the amazing river supporters that show up every year. From our biggest champions to those just joining this river movement, networking with those that are working for the future of the river is so empowering. Hear stories, hopes and future directly from the people doing the work.

Hear from Our Awesome Honorees

We’re absolutely delighted to honor Supervisor Hilda Solis, Representative of the 1st District of Los Angeles County and John Boiler, Founder & Creative Co-Chair of 72 and Sunny.

As a global creative leader, John Boiler’s role as a thought partner to River LA has been invaluable as we move towards large-scale change by connecting Los Angeles to its river.

Supervisor Solis has fought for her constituents while taking bold actions to shape the future of the LA River. Her leadership has set the County on a path to create the Los Angeles County River Master Plan as well as supported the County’s Stormwater Measure, an important step towards a resilient, safe, and sustainable region.     Solis_headshot.jpg

We are delighted to celebrate these folks!
