Tommy Gendal is the Co-Founder, Chief Operating Officer, and Executive Vice President of WRT. In addition, Mr. Gendal is also responsible for Waste Resources Recovery, Inc. (WRR). Formerly Vice President of Operations for Western Waste Industries, Mr. Gendal possesses over 45 years of experience in the solid waste industry. In 1998, after the acquisition of Waste Management by Western/USA Waste, Mr. Gendal founded WasteWorks, LLC, a waste recycling company. In 2002, he merged WasteWorks with Mr. Shirvanian’s Pacific Waste Company, creating Waste Resources, Inc.

A graduate of California State University, Northridge, in Political Science, Mr. Gendal has used his training and experience exclusively for WRT and its 44subsidiaries since its inception, which has contributed to the growth and expansion of the company.
