Cynthia Hirschhorn

Cynthia is the founder of Unycyn Civic Arts and Founder/Executive Director of ArtPORT LA, Southern California's only civic-scale art park.

Cynthia is an environmental designer who advocates for healthy and sustainable civic life by aligning missions to amplify resources for more impact at the civic scale.


She also founded Civicas, a women's civic leadership network curating civic resources and promoting civic education at Civicas.net.

Cynthia has proudly served on the governing boards of AltaSea and RiverLA, and the advisory board of UCLA's Luskin Center for Innovation, to which she brought passion for water resiliency, public art, community gardens and economic opportunity.

A native of Los Angeles, Cynthia attended Yale College, and earned a BA in Cultural History and a Masters in Architecture from UCLA. She and her husband Charles have three adult children, live in Pacific Palisades and love to travel.
