Holly is best known as being the creator of TEDxUSC, the founding executive director of the Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation at the MIT, and the vice provost and founding executive director of the Stevens Center for Innovation at USC.

She attended MIT and received bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering.

She is married and resides in Los Angeles.
