This past September, artwalk featured artist, léo limōn kicked off the 11th Frogtown Artwalk with an interactive painting session at Evolve Project LA. léo stenciled several of his legendary River Catz on the back wall of the business facing the LA River path. Community members and interested passers-by filled in many of the Catz, leaving two for léo to fully paint in his style. Visitors to the artwalk were able to view the resulting murals from the river path, meet léo and, and purchase a special edition t-shirt commemorating the event.
To continue to celebrate the Frogtown Artwalk and the Elysian Valley Arts Collective, artist léo limōn has created a special edition River LA logo T-shirt featuring a mashup of the River LA logo and his famed LA River Cats to sell in the River LA online store!
River LA is happy to partner with community groups focused on providing inclusive programming along the 51 miles of the LA River. Creating partnerships like this one with EVAC, Frogtown Artwalk, and léo limōn facilitate our mission to bring water, people and nature together along the 51 miles of the LA River.
A portion of the proceeds will go to support EVAC and future LA River events.
