Best In Class Immersive “Ride”

Your experience continues as you step into a glass-walled elevator, somehow open on all four sides to views of the surrounding park. As the elevator whirs into motion, you’re amazed to see realize that this “view” may not be as real as you thought - you’ve somehow been transported back to the LA of the Late Jurassic period. Volcanoes spew fire and smoke into the far distance while giant reptiles hunt for food all around you. You soar above the hills, taking in the pristine view of the LA River millions of years before humankind.

You exit the elevator and can’t help but overhear another guest raving about how cool it was that they got to see the LA of the cowboy era on their elevator ride - a totally different experience than you had. Guess you’ll have to try it again soon.

Your LA Experience doesn’t end once you’ve made your way through the installations. 

You stop in at the top-floor bar and restaurant, for a craft cocktail and a selection of small bites, created by local chefs and inspired specifically by the amazing experiences you’ve just witnessed.  You sip and savor as you process this amazing LA day, enjoying the sunset dappling the river and Taylor Yards Park, the city and the mountains aglow in the distance.

As you make your way back downstairs, you pop in to the gift store, enchanted by the clothing, art, and home goods inspired by The LA Experience and created by artists, designers, and entrepreneurs from the local community.

And for the community and park visitors, on the ground floor, there will be a grab and go food counter.

An invitation to explore

As you step out from the building, Taylor Yard Park beckons, with acres of natural habitat, physical activities, and art experiences to explore.

Maybe you grab another bite at the riverfront cafe, or book a kayak to explore the actual river up close. Maybe you pick up the trail of audio devices cleverly hidden amongst the habitat, leading you through the park with firsthand memories of the city’s dreamers weaving a tapestry of LA stories. Or perhaps you just take a seat amongst the natural splendor, breathing in the warm air, watching birds flit between the trees, hearing the river babble below. Whatever you choose, you re-enter the hustle and bustle of the big city refreshed, rejuvenated, and reinspired about this magic place we call home.
