Jason Foster
Former Director of Strategic Partnerships
Jason Foster is Director of Strategic Partnerships and is responsible for building River LA’s strategic partnerships. In this role, Jason connects with River LA’s community partners, corporate representatives, and LA County residents to grow the civic pride and social responsibility surrounding the LA River.
Jason believes that connecting the communities along the LA River is essential to River LA’s work. He strives to facilitate access to education and recreational opportunities for members of the LA River community and beyond.
Prior to River LA, Jason worked as a Project Manager for Impacct Brooklyn (previously Pratt Area Community Council) in Brooklyn, New York. At Impacct, Jason managed two multi-unit affordable housing projects through construction, which included overseeing tenant relocations, construction project management, and property management services. Jason received a New York State Proclamation from State Senator Eric Adams for his work in the Nostrand Avenue community for his role as a Community Organizer & Advocate. His work consisted of cultivating relationships with community members, curating community actions, participating in rent reform campaign policy strategy and coordination.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance from Howard University in Washington D.C., as well as a Master of Business Administration from the Metropolitan College of New York. Jason is proud to have grown up in Knoxville, Tennessee.
